As a client of Hyland Financial Planning, we will develop a Financial Plan that meets your goals and an Investment Plan that maximizes your Financial Plan. Once a Financial Plan and Investment Plan are established, Hyland will take steps to implement the recommendations. We will meet regularly to update these plans and ensure that you are on-track to meet your goals.
Change Your Financial Future Today
Introductory Meeting
We will meet to determine where you stand today and get to know your complete current financial situation. It is a time for you to interview us, and for us to learn more about you. We will spend ample time determining your current situation and goals, and you have a chance to interview us and ask us tough questions. We will also provide you with an overview of how we do business and a preview of what services you will be receiving as a client. If we both decide that we are a good fit to work together, we will then proceed to the next steps.
Data Accumulation Meeting (1-2 Weeks Later)
Once we decide that we are a good fit, it is time to get to work. During the first meeting, you will receive an Intake Form. Please complete and return with this document at our Data Accumulation meeting. This document is also available via fillable PDF that will be provided to you after the introductory meeting. A checklist has been provided in this document for your convenience. The more information we receive, the more accurate and in-depth your comprehensive plan will be. At this time, we will make sure we have all the necessary information to complete a plan. We will also complete exercises to determine your Investment Risk Tolerance.
Plan Completion (2-3 Weeks Later)
We will present an initial financial plan that will be edited and updated as you move through your financial life. The topics listed on our Services page will be discussed. This includes, but is not limited to, retirement planning, tax planning, cash flow, estate planning, insurance planning, and investment planning.
Plan Reviews & Update
Your financial plan, including all of the steps listed above will be updated, discussed, and adjusted as your plan matures. On an annual basis, we will project your future tax burden to determine what steps can be taken to minimize tax burden in the current year. We will review education and retirement goals to make sure that you are still on track. Quarterly, we will review your investment portfolio to see if any adjustments need to be taken to react to personal goals and/or market conditions. An annual insurance and estate document review will be taken to make sure you maintain adequate coverage.
